Ever looked at the waves in the ocean? It’s the same source of water yet different in size. The clouds in the sky - spread like a blanket but leaving spaces in between. The trees - some taller than others with different types of leaves? Different yet beautiful, imperfect yet perfect.
Sometimes, all we strive for is perfection, leaving no gaps for mistakes, and being the best versions we can ever be. We often forget that we are God’s (if an entity like that exists) creations too. When God hasn’t made the waves, the clouds, the trees and other natural elements perfect, why do we push ourselves to be perfect? Why do we not focus on being ourselves? Why do we compare ourselves?
It’s okay to be different, it’s okay to be imperfect, it’s okay to commit mistakes, it’s okay to feel what you feel. We need to believe in ourselves because if we don’t, nobody else will. We need to focus on being ourselves, rather than being the best versions of ourselves, we should try to be the realest versions of ourselves.
Be angry if you are angry, happy if you are happy, sad if you are sad, concerned if you are concerned. These are your emotions that make you who you are. Be YOU.
