Trigger warning: this piece discusses disordered eating.
Eating can be really hard. So hard that it feels impossible. I can understand that. I also understand that people need food to fuel their bodies. It’s not a choice, it’s a need.
I have personally struggled with my eating so I can relate. I usually try and buy foods that are easier to eat, although I do branch out a bit and try other foods that I used to eat. Often, it feels scary because I know that when I ate them, it didn’t harm me. In fact, it didn’t really do anything at all except for fuel my body.
Try and have a little something to eat now. I know it’s hard, but you need it. It doesn’t have to be big but I do want you to try something so that you can put a little fuel and energy into your body.
Keep fighting,
You got this!
