Keep Advocating for Yourself

Having a psychiatrist finally listen to me changed my life!

I was on a medication for years that hadn't been working for me, so I brought it up to psychiatrists, but I had one problem: they wouldn't listen to me. Eventually, I gave up trying to tell them. I felt done trying to advocate for myself if I was getting nowhere.

One day, a different psychiatrist brought up my meds. I told him that they weren't working. He listened, and my meds got changed. Not long after that, my life started feeling a lot better. I started feeling like it was easier to get up in the mornings, it felt easier to do things, and it felt easier for me to enjoy life overall. I'm forever grateful for that one psychiatrist who listened. He helped change my perspective on life for the better.

So, I encourage you to advocate for yourself, no matter how hopeless it feels. There WILL be someone out there who listens to you and takes action.

You are not alone and deserve to feel heard.

Keep fighting.

You've got this.

All my love.
