Why 'Are You Enough'?

Recently, someone asked me, “Why do you say ‘you are enough’? What does that even mean?” I thought it was quite interesting. So, I wanted to share the conclusion I came to in the hopes that you, lovely reader, can find hope in it.

A common affirmation and reminder is, ‘you are enough.’ But what does that mean? It means you’re enough, as you are. You don’t need to try harder, you don’t need to be someone you’re not, you don’t need to pretend to be something you’re not, to be enough. You are unique and you are worthy, and that is enough.

What I love about this affirmation is it’s such a strong reminder, but is only three words long. You are enough. You are strong enough. You are worthy enough. You are loved enough. It encompasses so much and is really a beautiful affirmation for when things feel a bit difficult. I know sometimes it’s really hard to see our own worth and to believe that we are, in fact, enough. But you are truly enough as you are.

You don’t need to try harder to earn your worth or value because as you are, right now, that’s all that matters. You are doing amazing and believe me when I say - you are enough. Don’t let your brain tell you otherwise!
