I'm fine

We set up in the heart of Christchurch, New Zealand with a simple sign asking one question:

“What do you hide behind ‘I’m fine’?”

Then we invited members of the public to sit down and share whatever came to mind.

What followed were honest conversations about the things we don’t always see or say out loud - loneliness, grief, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, pressure, burnout, and the many reasons we might tell someone we’re fine when we’re not.

I’m Fine is a Voices of Hope campaign sharing these real, unscripted stories to remind us that we can never truly know what someone may be carrying beneath the surface.

Because sometimes “I’m fine” means exactly that.

And sometimes, it doesn’t.

It’s okay to not be fine.

  • Proudly supported by Cotton On Foundation Mental Health Collective

This campaign has been made possible with the support of Cotton On Foundation Mental Health Collective. Their support helps us continue creating open, honest conversations around mental health, sharing lived experiences and reminding people that they are not alone.

Together, we are working to reduce stigma, encourage people to speak openly about how they are feeling and help create a world where talking about mental health feels a little easier.
